Lip blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo, lip color brightening service done on lips with sophisticated cosmetologically procedure. It lifts up a dull face by adding bright & natural-looking shades to dull, dark or pigmented lips. Lips start looking more plump and juicy as their color and brightness improve. Tattooed lipstick is a boon to those with small or thin lips. Needless to mention, it makes the person appear younger. It’s effect is not like a lipstick but rather like naturally bright and young lips.
Its ideal for dark lips / dark borders on the lips, pale lips, thin or small lips, uneven/pigmented lips, borderless lips with undefined shape or just dull lips. Sometimes even when the lips aren’t really dark, the lips need extra brightness to light up the face. Ideally, the color of lips should be a good contrast from the color of skin for the lips to create the right presence. Lip blush can completely add that natural dash of color on a dull face. However please bear in mind that Dark Lips would first need Neutralizing / Depigmenting before any color of your choice can be used on them.
Both the procedures are very similar except in Dark Lip Correction, You do not have a choice of colors to pick from. Dark lips do not accept any or all colors correctly and hence a certain set of pigments/colors have to be carefully selected that would combat the pigmentation/darkness. The Artist will choose the colors that can perfectly camouflage the pigmentation based on the fundamental color theory knowledge. Neutralizing is a very important step before we can offer you a choice of colors to pick from. The fully neutralized lips will look like natural lips with lighter shades in a range of light browns, pinks & corals depending on your undertone and number of sessions. Once neutralized, we can offer you a multitude of lip colors to pick and choose from.
In Lip Blush, You simply have the say in expressing your choice of lip color. You can choose from the shades of Reds, Orange, Pinks, Corals, Nudes, Maroons etc.
However, the best news is, many clients love the results they get from just neutralizing. Neutralizing brings very natural-looking healthy lips. You do not necessarily need Any specific Color if your core aim is healthy, unpigmented lips.
Average lips need 2 sittings. Each session is about 2 to 3 hours long. After first session, it will look quite bright but it will fade. It takes 7 to 10 weeks for final color to appear only after which your second sitting also called perfection sitting is planned. The color will fade about 30-50%. The end result is a light flush of color that looks completely natural, comparable to baby lips. Lip Blushing effects can last approximately 2-3 years and will vary depending on skin type and lifestyle.
For very dark lips it might take more than 2 sessions. The first 2 session will mainly be darkness removal. Any particular lip color addition can be done after that.

Whether it’s a Tattooed Lipstick look or a sheer natural effect, both are possible with a right number of sessions and clear communication.
A topical numbing cream keeps you from experiencing any pain. However, there are spots that are more sensitive where we go slower. I get a range of people who feel some sensation to people who fall asleep during the procedure, so use your best judgment. There might be minor swelling due to extended stimulation, which usually settles down anywhere between 1 to 4 hour period after the procedure.
Your pre-care is super important and must be followed to minimize any sensation and achieve the best results. Your lips must be very soft & free of all dead skin. For the week before the procedure, You must apply a very good moisturizing balm / coconut oil, drink a lot of fluids, scrub your lips every alternate day to make sure that the procedure goes absolutely painless and super smooth. The softer the lips the better results can be expected.
At least 24 hours before, avoid the following:Â
- Aspirin, ibuprofen, alcoholic beverages
- Caffeine (coffee and tea)
- Fish oil
- Niacin
- Vitamin E
- Alcohol!!!Â
These all can contribute to thinning your blood. Your lip has three to five cellular layers versus other areas of the face can have up to 16 layers which makes it more sensitive.

Lip fillers are a great pairing with lip blush since it can help perfect the overall shape. If you plan on getting lip fillers before or after, please wait 3 weeks.
Color choosing is a partnership which is why time is allotted during our consultation. We will go over color choices that will look best on you based on your skin and lip tone. This is also where we will discuss sessions based on if color correction is needed.Â
You are charged per session and as per seniority of the artist working on you. Although we do advise you on the number of sessions you should take based on your expectation, you can always start out with just 1 session. Every session has a good payoff. You dont necessrily need to book multiple sessions outright. once you are happy with results of 1 session, you may move on to take more. However, we do have discounts when you book and pay for 3 or more sessions all together.
